Preserve The Village Green

I just love this cover of Kate Rusby's. Some tricky chord changes but practice will maketh perfect.

Leadbelly

Have often seen this chap cited in various publications, and many claim he was a big influence. Leadbelly was a cracking singer and songwriter. He spent 2 spells in jail in the early part of the last century, admission to prison in Jim Crow U.S.A was easy when you were black. Luckily for him, someone spotted his talent. I love this song which has been copied by many, including a very angsty American with terrible dress sense - Kurt Cobain.
